The 4 Nights 5 Days tour package to the god's own country follows the below mentioned itinerary.
Day 1 :
The tour commences with the arrival at Cochin airport where the tourists are received by our representatives. Thereafter, the tourists are driven to the beautiful hill station of Munnar. Munnar is situated at a distance of 140 kilometers from Cochin and it takes about 4 hours to complete the journey. The journey is pleasant as the tourists take in the breathtaking views of the surroundings while ascending the mountains. At Munnar, the tourists check in to pre booked hotels of their choices. The Booking is made for two nights. The tourists can enjoy the evening by visiting the spice market or doing some shopping.
Day 2 :
Start exploring Munnar after breakfast. The hill station has many popular tourist spots such as Kundale lake, Mattupetty lake and Dam, Echo point and Rajmalai lake. The tourists can also explore the tea gardens and witness the sea of tea bushes which make up the gardens. Another popular tourist destination in Munnar is the Eravikulam National Park. The main point of attraction of this national park is the presence of an endangered species of mountain goat named Nilgiri Thar. At the end of the tour in Munnar, the tourists return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3 :
The tourists checkout of the hotels after breakfast to start the journey to Thekkady. Thekkady is a 110 km drive from Munnar. On reaching Thekkady, the tourists are billeted into the hotels and following refreshments are taken on tours of tea plantations, spice plantations and cardamom plantations. Thereafter, the tourists are driven to the Periyar wild life sanctuary. The sanctuary is home to Asiatic wild elephants, tigers and Nilgiri langurs among others. The sanctuary boasts of a plethora of species of flora, fauna and birds along with majestic hills and spice plantations. Boating in the Periyar Lake has been yet another exhilarating experience for the tourists. The tourists are driven back to the hotel at the end of the tour for overnight stay.
Day 4 :
Journey to Kumarakom commences after check out and breakfast. Kumarakom is at a distance of 122 kilometres from Thekkady and requires a drive of about 5 hours. Kumarakom is characterized by a series of small islands and other wonderful features such as the backwaters, coconut groves, mangrove forests and the paddy fields. The tourists are driven to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary for sightseeing prior to checking in at the hotel. In the evening, the tourists can choose to undertake the sunset cruise or visit the Vembanadu Lake to witness the famous backwaters of Kerala. Finally, at the end of the day the tourists return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5 :
The tourists start the journey to the final destination of Alleppey also known by the other name of Alappuzha. Aleppey is located at a distance of 160 kilometres from Kumarakom. It is a town which is known for its backwaters, canals and lagoons. The town is also called the rice bowl of Kerala due to the presence of extensive paddy fields. Coconut palms and small streams further add to the beauty of this town. Alleppey also has a glorious historical past when it had trading relations with Greece and Rome. The main tourist attraction of Alleppey is the backwaters. The tourists are not accommodated in hotels in this town, but in houseboats. Onboard the houseboats, the tourists are given a wonderful tour of the backwaters. The tour enables them to view the daily life of the villagers living along the backwaters at a closer level. Dinner is provided in the houseboat itself. Overnight stay on the houseboat is yet another unique experience for the tourists.
Day 6 :
In the morning, the tourists are driven the 54 kilometres stretch to Cochin. At Cochin, the tourists proceed towards the airport to catch their respective flights home.
